Our Annual Icelandic
Independence Day Celebration
The Icelandic American
Association of South Florida is celebrating the Iceland Independence Day in
TY Park, pavilion 1, Hollywood, Sunday June 17, 2007.

We will be serving the
hotdogs, hamburgers, sodas, beer, music, and plenty of activities, for
example:
The Park offers all kinds
of fun activities, there is a water Park, and Paddle Boats Can be rented.
The Park has Horse Shoe Games, Wally Ball Fields, Tennis Courts, and lots of
other fun activities for everyone. Dogs are allowed but have to be kept on
a 6’ leash (we think that’s a flexible rule). All balls needed for games are
available.
Directions to the Park:
From I-95 take Sheridan Street West to North Park Road, Make a Right
(North), the entrance is just a little ways down on your right hand side.
Entrance fee is $ 1.oo for adults and children over 5 Years of age.
We hope you show up and
bring friends as we Icelanders are known to be proud of our heritage.
We encourage those of you
that plan to be there to bring with you any fun games you might have, any
CD’s of interest to us, any Icelandic Magazines that you no longer need,
etc., etc., Let’s share some time together and have fun !
We look forward to seeing
all of you for a fun filled afternoon, and ask you to pray “hard” for a nice
weather on the 17th of this month.
